I loved this book! It was fast paced with lots of twists and turns and a marvelous surprise ending. I could not put the book down, by the time I was about 3/4 of the way through.
To me, Harry Bosch suffers a deep melancholy from the tragedy of his young life when his mother was murdered and his time in Viet Nam as a 'tunnel rat'. Harry Bosch's personal mission is to 'speak for the victims' and do whatever has to be done, including putting his life and career in jeopardy to bring justice for the victims.
If this is your first Michael Connelly novel, I'm sure you will be a fan for life!
