I got about 20 pages into the book and couldn't finish it. There were a lot of errors and it got to be too much after awhile. I emailed the author about one of the errors and got a very strange answer. He said I knew as much about it as he did. That's a strange thing to say since he wrote the book and I didn't.

Book jacket says the book is "backed by a research team's five years of work..." If so, then the author didn't understand the research - the book is packed with gross inaccuracies, such as General George MacArthur (meant Douglas), the Japanese occupation of Indonesia in 1940 (meant Indochina?), that the German invasion of Russia consisted of an immense wedge of 2,700 tanks (no idea what he could have meant here), and so forth. Definitely not recommended.
