At page 232.
An odd but interesting setting. Odd pairing of boy meets girl. Odd but whimsical townsfolk. Odd dog. Just about odd everything, though emotional suspenseful.
Then the hormones click in. All bets are off! All control out the window! Formulaic romance blossoms like a nuke.
Yes, a little much.

An easy, good read with some mystery and romance. Loved the two main character Bo and Morgan. Tricks, the golden retriever played one of the main characters as well. I love having dogs intertwined in a story but at times it was a little much. But nevertheless I enjoyed the book.

Not my most favorite Linda Howard book, but definitely a good romantic suspense. I was interested to see her upcoming book, The Woman Left Behind, will feature one (or more?) of the Troublemaker character.

I really liked the main male character, Morgan. However, the very slow pace and all the d├ętails about walking the dog, feeding the dog and dog faces were a big downer.

My first Linda Howard read....very enjoyable. Book held my interest.

Not one of Linda Howard's better books. I was so disappointed with this one. The storyline with the "genius" dog was incredibly strange and annoying.

I have waited a long time for the next Linda Howard book and I am not disappointed at all with Troublemaker. I love all of Linda Howard's books and I love this one as well. I love the story and all of the characters, especially Tricks. I would love to have a dog like her. I would also love to have a boyfriend like Mason and a friend like Bo.

Linda Howard doesn't disappoint. One can expect a good storyline, interesting characters (well developed), and well constructed prose (with no annoying grammatical errors).

Not one of my favorite Linda Howard books. I read it to the end but thought it was slow going through most of the story.

When a Navy seal is attacked at home and is seriously injured, his commander sends him to a small town to recuperate while they search for the reason for the attack.

The characters are okay but the most compelling one is the heroine's dog Tricks. The plot bogs down in the middle and becomes a basic love story only to be resolved in the last 2 chapters. It read more like one of Howard's earlier paperback series romances.

"All of those thoughts and realizations were racing through her mind like strobe flashes. The inner turmoil of realization was so great that she felt the blood draining from her face, literally felt her flesh contracting."

"Consciousness - or the lack of it - was a strange thing, fading from one to the other and back again without a line of demarcation and without any direction by him. Sometimes he surfaced a few degrees from total nothingness to a vague and distant awareness of being, and the same vague and distant acknowledgment of the black nothing, and even knowing what it was, distinguishing between the two. Then he'd sink back down, and there was nothing until the tide of consciousness floated him upward like a piece of trash in the sea."
