Summary
Add a Summarywhen its summer and Greg Heffley is in his house playing games and there are like no rules to him.But then family has like a togetherness.And Greg went to a vocation with Rowley and his family.
Greg's family has cut back on vacations and day trips to save money, so his summer fun is limited. Summer vacation finds the main character, Greg, happy to be inside playing video games. His mother has other ideas, and starts a book club. Greg also gets to go to the country club with his best friend Rowley -- until they run up a bill of $83 for smoothies that Greg thought were free. Greg gets a job to pay the money back, and his scheme to mow lawns goes about as well as his other plans often do. So his birthday money will have to pay the bill instead of buy him the dog he wants, or so he thinks.

Add a CommentDog Days in the popular series Diary of a Wimpy Kid, is an amazing book. As a teenager, it is very relatable. It is very humorous, and is perfect for just relaxing. This story continues through Greg’s point of view, a middle child, who is trying to enjoy summer vacation. All Greg really wants to do is enjoy his video games. But his crazy family won’t let him do that. It is a book that you will never get tired of. I find Greg's voice relatable as it captures what it's like to be a teenager! This book won the Goodreads Choice Awards, and has been nominated for many other awards as well.

A funny book. If you read this book you will have a great laugh.
I liked this book. It could make me laugh. It was about Greg's summer(and how it wasn't very fun.) Recommend this for ages 8 and over.
