Sweet book that my almost 3-yr-old grandson thoroughly enjoyed. The full poem by ee cummings is on the first page and can be read quickly (or you can sing it if you know it as a song). The rest of the book is a short story based on the poem and aimed at preschool children. My grandson became a tree hugger after we read this book.
(The patchwork-quilt-like illustrations can make it difficult to follow the action, but my grandson and I figured out that the main character in the story has a reddish trunk, so we'd search for that trunk to find the tree on crowded pages.)
